What better to do while watching history being made than to give my first shot at stiffening doilies. I have two snowflakes I made that I want to try to stiffen to see if that will work well enough to turn these into ornaments.Stiffener is basically glue. You soak the doily in it, squeeze it out, and block as usual. When they dry they should be 'stiff'. To what degree that is remains to be seen. if it doesn't work well, we'll have to make up a plan B. :)

The both look less-than-hexagonal while pinned, but hopefully that won't be an issue once they are hanging.
